Appointed EVP of the Building Materials division
June 28, 2022
By: Tara Olivo
Associate Editor at Nonwovens Industry
Starting Sept. 26, Emmanuelle Picard is appointed EVP of the Building Materials division at Ahlstrom-Munksjö and a member of the Executive Management Team. With a multi-year career within the building materials industry, Picard is well-equipped to lead the newly established division and pursue the strategic objectives of Ahlstrom-Munksjö. She joins the company directly from the position of managing director at Wipak’s plastic packaging business. She has previously worked at Saint Gobain, Imerys and ITW Construction, clearly illustrating her profile as highly experienced in a B2B setting with sustainable development ambitions. On June 15, Ahlstrom-Munksjö announced the next step in its strategy execution, building a stronger company for a sustainable future and capturing growth opportunities. Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s strategic ambition for 2025 is to become the leader in combining fibers into performance materials that serve the company’s purpose to Purify and Protect, with Every Fiber, for a Sustainable World. As of July 1, the group will serve five growing and distinctive end markets to further enhance its competitive advantages and enhance value creation for its stakeholders. The five divisions are: Filtration, Food & Consumer Packaging, Healthcare, Building Materials, and Technical Materials. The divisions will be supported by global functions and centers of excellence for scale, synergies, and excellence. “I am excited to welcome Emmanuelle Picard to the Executive Management Team of Ahlstrom-Munksjö as the new EVP of Building Materials. I look forward to the valuable insights and knowledge that she will bring to the company. Her experience of working with sustainability within the construction sector will be a great asset in our continued strategy execution,” says president and CEO Hans Sohlström.
